Why Imported

A Wider World of Color

Imported quartz is engineered quartz made outside the U.S.: mostly natural quartz, bound with resin into a dense, durable slab.

  1. More looks to choose from

Working with several manufacturers abroad widens the range of colors, veining, and patterns we can offer, from soft whites to bold, saturated tones.

  2. See the actual slab

Every imported color we carry is held in our inventory, so you can see the slabs themselves, not just a sample, before you commit.

  3. Everyday quartz performance

Like all engineered quartz, it is nonporous, resists stains and scratches, and never needs sealing.

Good to Know

Questions, Answered

What is imported quartz?

Engineered quartz made by manufacturers outside the U.S. Like domestic quartz, it is mostly natural quartz, bound with resin and pigment into a dense slab.

Is it as durable as domestic quartz?

Quartz from an established manufacturer is nonporous and resists stains and scratches. Test results vary by manufacturer, so ask us for the data sheet on a specific color.

What thicknesses and finishes are available?

They vary by color and manufacturer, so ask us about the one you have in mind.

Does it come with a warranty?

Warranty terms are set by each manufacturer. Ask us before you choose, and we will tell you what applies to that color.

How do I care for it?

Wipe it down with mild soap and water, use a trivet under hot pans, and skip bleach and abrasive pads. It never needs sealing.

Can it go outdoors?

No. Sunlight can fade or discolor the resin in quartz. For outdoor kitchens, we recommend granite or quartzite.
